Currency

Austria is part of the European Union and uses the Euro.

VAT

Travelers from Non-EU countries can get a VAT refund on unused items purchased in Austria. Souvenirs that cost over 75 Euros are eligible for the refund, just request a special receipt from the vendor and submit it at customs. For more details visit Global Blue.

Climate

Austria enjoys a temperate, continental climate with four distinct seasons. Summer gets up to 95F with an average of 68F. Winter drops down as far as -4F with an average of 32F.
